Beautiful traditional Tansu with drawers from the Meiji period.
This chest features a total of six drawers, each richly adorned with authentic metal hardware, including handles and lock plates (without key).
The upper section of this Tansu boasts lovely doors behind which four drawers are concealed.
The sides are equipped with metal carrying handles, once used for easy transport.
Dimensions: height 98.5 cm, width 91 cm, depth 43 cm.
This Japanese Tansu is an original interior piece, in its original state, exuding history through its weathered appearance.
The chest of drawers shows signs of age and also lacks a locking bar for the drawers.
