A wonderful cast ceramic wall plaque of a mythical Celtic beast, by Jim Meredith Studios, late 20th century.<\/p>\n

The plaque, imitating ancient carved stone, features a wild depiction of a fantastic hairy beast form Celtic mythology, possibly a lion. Its mouth open, teeth bared, an unknown item caught, or spewing from its mouth.
\nBeautiful detailing throughout, from the rendering of the hair, to the eyes, and even the texture of the background, imitating stone. <\/p>\n

Jim Meredith (b. 1947) is a contemporary artist who’s career started in the movie industry in Los Angeles, CA. His company, Jim Meredith Studios, created molds and models for the film studios. <\/p>\n
