A collection of three antique textile fragments displayed in various frames. It consists of a blue on white woven panel presented in a metal frame. The panel depicts dancing human figures and lions in repeating pattern and bordered by scrolling lines on both sides. There are some embroidery stiches to accentuate the design. The second piece is a small, embroidered panel presented in an old carved gilt wood frame. It shows a human figure holding a stick. Both these textiles might be of either Greece or adjacent areas in origin. The last piece is a woven mandala piece in a thin gilt wood frame. It depicts a group of figures surrounded by a foliaged border. It is likely to be Coptic in nature. The respective size is 12″ x 11″ x 1″, 5″ x 9″ x 1 and 7.5″ x 9.5″ x 0.8″. The size listed are for packaging purpose only.
