Stunning Vintage Restored Brown Leather Oak Framed Captains Directors Armchair

A very good looking well made and comfortable directors chair, I’ve not seen one with a solid oak frame like this before, the seat platform is a traditional sprung base so very comfortable, this is the bosses chair, is large and in charge.

It has been fully restored as mentioned, the leather has been stripped back, hand dyed six times, antiqued and sealed, the finish is this lovely cigar brown colour. The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished, the intention with this kind of restoration was to leave all the original patina.

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
