Vintage Design
This dining table is a rare variation of French artist Maria Pergay’s iconic Gerbe model, dating back to 1970. It features a cluster of flat and curved blades in polished steel, brushed steel, and polished brass, topped with an oval transparent glass slab. The sinuous curves of the materials evoke fluidity and movement, adding a dynamic and sculptural element to the piece, while its glass surface captures and plays with light. Bearing witness to Maria Pergay’s ingenuity and talent, this dining table will bring a unique touch of elegance to any interior. The table has been restored, and is found in an amazing condition. The glass top has been newly replaced, and could be even bigger. Examples of bigger glass tops can be found on Wright website, where a bigger top gerbe table sold for $126.000 on September 2005, or on Demish Danant website, with an extra large rectangle glass top.
