An elegant and rare three-drawer Art Deco commode (series number 1110) by Widdicomb, circa 1938. Stout mahogany construction with exquisite case and foot detail. Fabulous solid brass hardware accent the drawers. Undoubtedly one of the most elusive and beautiful designs in the Widdicomb archive. A serious piece designed to anchor an important space. Excellent Restored Condition. The chest has been meticulously restored in black lacquer; the hardware has been hand polished and displays beautiful patina. Retains the Maker mark.
