Vintage Design
Hans J. Wegner Dining Chair produced by Carl Hansen & Søn in Denmark, model ‘CH 30’, in solid oak and reupholstered in light grey textured linen, designed in 1954, later production. This design is currently no longer in production. The chairs are marked with the Hans J. Wegner brandmark on the bottom of the seats. The chair features organic sensuous contours and elegant styling. They are beautiful balanced design provides great seating comfort with unique design approach and insightful craftsmanship. The back plywood rest features his signature shaped connection of the frame to the backrest. This kind of woodwork is typical for the design by Wegner. Hans Wegner (1914-2007) ‘Master of the Chair’ is one of the most well known furniture designers of the world. Wegner’s furniture was designed with the greatest understanding of materials, construction techniques and use who created most expressive and exciting design of the 1950’s.
