This is a large table with double gate leg at each side to support the long deep leaves, there is a marquetry design in the centre, it has attractive turned legs and cross members
The table dates from the very early 20th century when this wood was very sought after by designers
The table has a small piece of wood let in on the top, this has probably been there since the table wad made to disguise a fault in the grain of the wood otherwise it is in very good condition for its age, it is big enough to seat 8 to 10 diners this delightful wood is very reflective and bright
This is a very rare and magnificent table, the table is a tradition drop flap drop flap with a narrow shape when the flaps are down, this allows it to be conveniently placed against a wall, the narrow shape (22”) also allows the table to be carried outside and it is ideally suited for holding a coffin.
The table stands 30” high, 70” long and 50” wide
