An artistically created sculpture table decorative objects, After Jules Moigniez (French 1835-1894), bronze figure group modelled as a bull, cow and calf on the naturalistically modelled ground before a fence, upon an oval base, signed J Moigniez.
This bronze with a brown patina, entitled “Bovine family”, invites us to discover three animals. The imposing bull, with its proud appearance, its head held high and looking towards the sky, gives this scene a feeling of tranquillity and appeasement through its protective figure. Note the precision and finesse of the details of his musculature, neck folds, and legs. In front of him, lying on a bronze terrace forming a meadow, the cow and her very young calf, peaceful, tenderly, huddled together. The whole rests on a smooth, grooved plinth.
A French sculptor known for his animal bronzes, Jules Moigniez was a pupil of Paul Comoléra.
This touching animal representation will seduce you with the simplicity of this image, simply like life.
They are in excellent condition with Normal wear and tear.
The length is 30 cm.
