Gorgeous Dutch ceramic pottery Art Deco bookends. Designed by Godefridus Boonenkamp in 1931.
Very nice, large bookends, made of white baked earthenware with a beautiful glaze layer. Made at Plateelbakkerij Schoonhoven. This model is depicted on page 36 in the book “Plateelbakkerij Schoonhoven anno 1920”. These beautiful bookends are signed with the official pressed stamp.
The bookends are in marvelous condition with minor blue spot glazing layer error, very rare production flaw.
