French Mid-century ceramic parrot pitcher by SAINT-CLEMENT, France, late 1920s. It was around 1920 that the Faïencerie Saint-Clément began producing pitchers in the shape of animal. It was a great success. So much so that this collection was subsequently republished by Saint-Clément until the 1970s. It was even the subject of eeproductions made by other exotic factories currently on the market proposed as coming from Saint-Clément. Informed collectors and enthusiasts are only interested in the first original creation of these pitchers. Here is one of the famous parrots. It is difficult to find these days and we offer it to you in perfect condition. Height : 13″(33cm), Width : 5.9″(15cm), Depth : 3.8″(9.6cm). The period mark “7481 StC FRANCE” specifying the model number is molded under the base (see photo)
