Virtually unknown by the general public, Dinucci, as the signature on his furniture said, was a major producer of modern Brazilian furniture between the 1940s and 1960s. Consumed by a clientele still reluctant to modernist taste, the cabinetmaker was well-accepted especially for producing furniture that was a rereading of the neoclassical style.
Following this aesthetic, his pieces carried many details in low relief and had an unexpected color – for example, a sofa clad in red velvet. Today, furniture and objects designed by Dinucci (of whom very little is known) are true collector’s items.
