Suspension Lamp in Murano Glass Series Neverrino Di Gae Aulenti attributed to Gae Aulenti for Vistosi, Italy, 1970s

Suspension lamp designed in the 70s by Gae Aulenti. The lamp is made with the traditional Murrine technique in the tones of blue and burgundy. This glass processing technique consists in incorporating small drawings or motifs within a glass slab or a glass object. These drawings or motifs are created by different colored strips of melted glass, which are assembled together and then merged to form a “Murrina”.

The Murrine technique has ancient origins and has a long history in glass art. Today, it is still used by many artists and windows to create decorative works of art and unique and fascinating glass objects. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
